Skin Deep Exhibition

SkinDeep is an Oil Painting Series of mine that i created inbetween 2018 and 2019. It was my form of Therapy since I experience an intense array of emotions on a scale unlike most people i know. 
The reason why i like to use large canvases is because those feelings are so immense in their way of impact, they seem larger than life. Audiences also experience them way more intensely if the body is the same size as a human being or larger. They've got to intimidate you, the viewer, the way the feelings intimidated me when it was all just in my head. 
My paintings are figurative and surreal. 
I feel that posture and gesture as well as facial expression can embody emotions to the point where it takes only one glance at a human being to make astute observations on their current 'state-of-feel'.
